C is for Current

Here is the current layout for the ABC Baby Quilt. What do you think? Keeping in mind, of course, that the letters are already embroidered.

I like this...I really like the pattern you're putting in the corners.....what had some of your other thoughts been for the layout? Just curious...

I had thought I would make it every other block with some embroidery in the corners (as 26 is not a good quilting number) Like the dino quilt I wrapped up last month, which you can find under the Baby Quilts label. Spacing a letter every other block.

That didn't work because of the minky type fabric I used streached and warped when I cut it. So I needed a pattern that would "float" the letters.

Next I tried using diamonds to "rock" the letters back and fourth, but that didn't work because my letter blocks are actually rectangles, and I couldn't keep the stagger under control. LOL

I really like the stars too, I keep trying to put them into quilts, but everytime I sidetrack and end up with something different. This time my limited stash supply of yallow fabric caused me to make Ohio Star Variations instead. :(

Oh wow this is really cool. I love that you mock up the design before you sew it!
