Spiral... Woven

Sketch of the Striking Snake
Yesterday I worked some on the Quilt Challenge: If you were a Quilt What Would You Look Like? I think it's coming along nicely.  I drew out my plans for quilting and embellishment onto the top.  I don't think you'll be able to make them out very well, but here's some pictures all the same.
My helper showing you how the snake is curling around the red paisley.
Tiny couldn't seem to resist the top as she was bound and determined attack it.
Or Perhaps Tiny will just kill the Snake and then no one will have to worry about it.
As my center this is about 36" x 42" - okay it's really whatever the darned thing shrunk to after I washed it, as this is entirely flannel I didn't want things bleeding or shrinking unevenly.  Not to mention pre-washing flannel tightens up the weave of the cloth.

Is it dead yet?

If Tiny doesn't take it from me I'll be adding a 12" border around the outside.  The pattern I plan to used is called Entwined and can be seen here.  The center strip will be the royal blue and then the entwining fabric will be the red with the background fabric being the lightest of blue.  That will bring the quilt up to about 66"x60" which should be a nice lap size, or perhaps the quilt will want something more after the border.  For now I need more fabric.
Just for the record the snake is a metaphore for pain.

Christmas Quilt-A-Long Sick

Boohoo!  I missed the Christmas Quilt-A-Long Yesterday.  I had a terrible tension headache that kept me on the couch with my head nearly inverted as it was the only way to keep my head from giving me to much grief.  The good news of course is that I had things I'd planned to do, so now I'll be needing a rain-check day.  So be sure to look for that in the next week or so.

On a better note, while feeling depleted I am in fact feeling quite improved, so though I'll be taking it easy for now hopefully I'll be feeling like myself soon (good thing too as the floor is begging to be cleaned).

No worries about my dd, she enjoyed going from sitting on me to playing all of her favorite games on the computer so my day of rest didn't bother her in the least.

B is for Battle

UGH! Today was one of those awful days you wish you'd just stayed in bed all day. When you figure out how to do that let me know. My arms ache because I was trying to keep Jessica's dress down while we had a visit with the neighbor and she acted crazy. Normally she insists on wearing shorts under her dresses, but not today. It "Minnie Bottoms" all over everywhere.

After arriving home I decided to start dinner. I make this veggie steak thing, where the veggies cook down with the steak. No not pot roast. More like veggie puree (it cooks into a really yummy gravy and you can't tell it ever was made from veggies), I chop them up in the food processor and then cook them a while. I was planning on serving the whole thing with a side of broccoli and puffy white rice. I burned the rice! I haven't burnt rice in years. I still can't believe it. Then when I started a new pot of rice and put the butter in I thought the wrapper of the butter went in as well, so I was digging through the rice water trying to find the wrapper. When I couldn't find it I dug the butter wrapper from the trash and sure enough the entire thing was there. It's okay go ahead and laugh. I would if it was you.

I mulched the mini rose bush bed. I'll have to do it later after everything settles, but it already looks way better. One of my other flowers beds I think I'd like to completely redo with draught resistant flowers. We'll have to see what my research turns up.

I'm mourning my Maple Tree. Everyday that goes by makes it more obvious that it needs to come down. My property will be so different without that towering tree. I'm thinking perhaps a Mulberry or a Sycamore.

My DH told everyone in the neighborhood to bring over any downed brush from the storm and he'll turn it into mulch, so a certain one of my neighbors proceeds to trim the daylights out of all his trees and brings all of the refuse over here. Don't you just hate it when someone takes advantage of your spouse? I know it gets under my skin.

All day long Jessica has been on me. In fact this has been the only time today that she hasn't been hanging on me. She doesn't want me to hold her, she just wants to constantly touch me. I know, I know, this time in her life will be gone before I know it, but a tiny break would sure be nice. I have been her mom for 1371 days, that's 32,904 hours. Today feels like a really long time, even if it is only a blink.

Oh I nearly forgot there are Questions of the Day today!

Question 1: What noise soothes you? Rain on the roof. When I was growing up in a very rural area rain always meant good things, so I love the rain, the smell, the freshness, and yes the sound.

Question Two: What bores you? Okay I'm embarrassed to say this, but cars bore me. I like car auctions, races, antiques, hot rods, the whole nine yards. But I hate hearing about what is wrong with a car, and I hate even more listening so someone drone on about what they had to do to fix it. Even if the person doing the droning is my very own DH! It bores me to tears. I don't bore easily, but I trance out when someone goes on and on about cars. I used to tell my DH that he gets 5 minutes a week which I will listen to that drone and after that I can't help it my mind wont focus anymore, and sure enough 5 minutes is my limit everytime.

Shopping, Shopping, Shopping, Keep those Shoppers Shopping Away

We visited the Premium Orlando Outlet but there are many other great ones in the area. We had amazing VIP coupons for Addias. Oshkosh was great, and the Stride Right set us up with shoes that will see Jessica through into VPK. No coupons for the last store though.

The Gymboree outlet was disappointing. They only had one pair of pants in my daughter's size in the entire store, it would have cost me more than their current sale prices (at a regular Gymboree) and it didn't have the adjustable waist band. Trust me, dd has a 19" waist I have to have those things! Unlike normal outlets where the items are overstocks or slightly imperfect. Gymboree makes a special line for their "outlet".

The Disney Outlet is oh my goodness amazing! A huge portion of the items are marked down from standard Disney rates, the standard markdown for "non-dated" items was 50% and more on "past dates". What do I mean by that? Certainly I'm not talking about food. I'm talking about the 2008 red mug I couldn't afford last trip was $3.99 this trip! I got a really cool blue 07 Disney t-shirt for $2.99, I could have had an '08 one in green but the blue one was prettier. The classic Mickey and Minnie shirt with no dates I paid $13, but I did see a Grand Floridian shirt that had been $80+ marked down to $30. All of the original tags are there so you can clearly see the deal you're getting. I couldn't find Jessica's name in the mickey bracelets, so I bought two to take apart and spell out her name. I thought for the money, it wasn't a bad arrangement. My only lament is they had a horse drawn Cinderella carriage that I really wish I'd picked up, but didn't know how to get it out of the store without her knowing (it was huge) or how to merely let her have something that big, even if it was only $15.

Oh and lastly I found these really pretty pink castle ribbons. I'm planning on using them to hang nylon butterflies from Jessica's canopy bed after her birthday.

Scooba Doctor

I am an original owner of the 1st ever Roomba, how's that for bragging rights? It always did an okay job, and when Jessica was little she loved to sit in her baby swing and watch it go round and round. Well a vac for entertainment will soon loose charge and it wasn't to long after that that the original Roomba became robot trash, sad I know. But I never begrudged it. I always felt like it had worked hard and deserved to retire.

Then came the Scooba. Oh boy oh boy oh boy... And those are not good boys! The directions say you don't have to sweep first, but trust me you do. It would make me crazy watching it blow the dust bunnies around. Before to long the Scooba ate it's first battery. We called irobot and they told me the directions on the battery were wrong and I needed a new battery. They sent me a new one. Well the new one never worked like the old one, so I called them again. This time the man told me to keep my battery in the freezer when not in use and that perhaps it would be best to charge it before using it. Well trust me I do not know ahead of time that at 3 pm I'll want to wash the floor. I was not a happy camper, but I did it anyhow. Well of course this one started to go bad as well, that made me really mad, because even in the freezer of all crazy things to keep a battery that powers a floor cleaning device.... etc. you get the picture.
Well "footmarks" (barefoot prints) on the wood floor make me a little crazy. So as of late, DH and I have talked about buying a new battery for it. So I set about seeing what I could see... It would appear that the new battery will run about $95, this one is a different type of battery and should not give me the fits the old ones did. Meanwhile, Scooba has sat all this time and I could really use another pair of wheels on hand, those run about $12. To stall off that $100+ bill, I cleaned the Scooba all up today, and DH set it to charge. Tomorrow we will put it to work and see how it does, but in the mean time it's parts are spread all over my counter.

No quilting today, but I have started work on my pin cushion i.e. fancy pin display. I embroidered a meerkat on it, and it says "All Pups Great and Small" a play on the word "pins" of course, the meerkat even looks a little pregnant, so isn't that special?

Craig's List

Well I did it. I listed the Bargello on Craig's List http://tampa.craigslist.org/psc/art/927035170.html You can see it right here. IT pains me, but we have to have money come in from somewhere. It makes me a bit sick talking about the unemployment and lack of money issues going on here.

My husband is also listing the Wooden Box he made. It was supposed to be his first sample. He made it himself and it took him a week. You can see his box here. http://tampa.craigslist.org/psc/tls/927059036.html as soon as we listed we were both hit with two different spams. UGH, as if it wasn't bad enough now knowing our email boxes will be flooded with crap.

I have started quilting the Red Star quilt. It's going to be so pretty. This quilt is heavy. It makes my arms ache just a bit thinking about it! Good thing that one has a label on it or else I'd want to sell it too. But that one was such a pain in the rear I'd be charging double for it!

It blows my mind the things you see for sale on Craig's List. I saw someone offering to make a quilt, up to three of them any size before Christmas in fact, if only the person would buy thread and fabric. :(

Oh the nice note here is that Jessica, Daddy and I all gathered around two bowls of popcorn to watch Santa Clause with Tim Allen. It's such a nice flick. Jessica lost interest and Daddy tried to fall asleep, but it was nice all the same. Why to bowls? Daddy likes to much salt on his food, makes it takes like you licked salt build up at the aquarium or something. Bleck.

October 11, 2008

My oh my...

I have a minor upper ankle sprain, don't worry it's completely stable. My on the other hand, I seem to respond to "rest and don't push it" by doing everything that needs done. Yesterday I cleaned the main house, and went shopping with mom. Then I came home and worked on my sister's pants. I can not believe how much trouble I'm having dealing with those. ACK! I've drawn three embroidery files and I still don't have one I can use, not to mention all the ones I downloaded that I can't use.

After I gave up on that I worked on the Bargello quilt, It has half the border sewed on and is waiting for the other half. I put Jessica to bed and then picked up all her toys. I killed two huge wolf spiders. ACK! One was within a foot of her sitting on her potty! Being a mom gives you consitition! Grit your teeth and deal, no matter how AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhh! You might feel.

This morning I've been up since 7:15, a new Pet Store is opening near us and I felt the need to send Rob out to get one of the free gift cards they offered to the first 50 customers. I've washed, dried and folded laundry, cleaned the addition, cleaned the kitchen, and run the vac around a bit, not really in that order.

I've also sat and enjoyed two episodes of "Sabrina: the Teenage Witch" (I have always liked Melissa Joan Hart) and an oldie of "Step by Step", who remembers that show? Wow, I used to sit and watch it with my mom, I'd even seen that one, but it was early then and Jessica wasn't up yet.

Rob of course is out and about. I do like to not have him around when I clean. He loves to say things like "I said I'd do that for you." Uh hu. All that and it's only 10:30! Okay so life is happening again. TTFN!

October 08, 2008

What a time of it!

Good Morning Folks! This morning I was awoken by the ringing phone. My favorite sound in the morning not! Just when I was trying so hard to keep my eyes shut tight against the day (in spite of all that Jessica was doing to get me up). And who should it be? Well there's no telling, because the phone in the bedroom is dead. I race to find another phone throwing off the covers and chasing down the hall. Oh crud it's the Sears Repair guy, "HELLO!!?!?!?" Nope he's gone. Drat. I hurry to get dressed and pull a brush through my hair that has gotten annoying long. Then my eyes aloft on the rest of the house. ACK! The kitchen is covered in last night's trial of the New Mexican place down the road.

Bell Peppers make me sick and so I put myself to bed shortly after dinner. Rob's old boss asked him to come back, so he was off to work (overnight, ugh). The toys where a mess, oh it was just awful. So I race to dress Jessica, I race to pick up her toys. Oh no it's 8:30 AM when I call my mother. "Hello? Mom?" More racing to clean the goo off the dishes and hide them in the dishwasher. Race, Race, Race. Kitchen is okay, living room is okay, bedroom - we'll just close the door. Oh but what if he comes in through the front door? ACK! Oh well can't help it now. Off to the bathroom, YUcky, there's poo in the potty. UGH... Dealing... Talking on the phone... The things we do.

It's 9:00AM and I'm off the phone, no husband yet... Check emails... Do I have that book? Ummmmmmmm.... So I head off to Jessica's room. It's nice in there karmic precision has been obtained. Serenity now! Oh it's marvelous. My hair that never made it up is hanging in sweaty strands. Oh there's the book... That's nice, oh there's a bit of a breeze, I can feel it now. I love this room... I'll just sit here until something happens. Of course that was when the Sears guy drove past.

Why did I even need him you ask? Well they over torqued the cover on the water filter at the factory when they put the filter in, best get the part now, while I can still say it arrived that way.

Perhaps I forgot to mention? Sears tried so many times to fix the old fridge they were out 6 times in 3 weeks. After they changed out the compressed things went from bad to awful, and the entire fridge stopped working. Everything in there that hadn't already been lost by the freeze/thaw things that the freezer was doing was completely ruined when everything completely melted mere hours after the repair person left. Somewhere along the line, thank goodness the lemon clause kicked in and I got a completely new fridge. I feel a bit like Vana White. Look at the beautiful new REFRIGERATOR.

Which brings you up to the broken little cover thing at delivery. Hopefully that will be the end of the big bad fridge story. Currently we are all calling the new one the Big Cold Monster, as it it quite a bit bigger than the old one. The length and width measurements were the same, but somewhere someone fibbed, as it's taking up at least an extra inch or two of the hall way. No matter it's so cold I've turned it down twice. The seal on it is so strong you have to use two hands sometimes to get it open! EEEK!

After Rob got home and went to bed I fell twisted my ankle (the good one) on the last step into Jessica's room. It was a book completely hidden under her little rug that caused it. Hopefully it wont effect my luncheon when my mom on Friday.

Quilts? Oh you want to talk about what I did yesterday after the post? Well I told you about dinner. Before dinner I had Trusty Gem out. That's the name I've been auditioning for the 2001 Brother ULT. And I put the prettiest little butterfly near the basket of roses that I hand pieced for that blue quilt. So pretty. I'm going to do another in slightly different colors on the other side. Good thing everything I want to do today has me sitting, hu?

Caught ya Cutting!

The Perinatal quilts are boxed up and ready to go. Just between me and the rest of the world I hope I get a thank you note.

Today my husband cut fabric. Yes, it's true, he cut felt for the wooden hobby box he made. It's this amazing blue color. Now if I could just convince him to cut my fabric too! The camera is oddly "missing" so I don't even have a photo to show for it.

I've been kitten sitting a little bit. Mom's new Kitten Lilly has been to see us. Can you believe Jessica is more clingy now that Lilly is here? ACK, honey that's mommy's neck!

Tonight is movie date night. I have a date with my husband to be on the bed with popcorn and a movie. It's called "How to Make An American Quilt" I'll let you know how it goes. The movie the date perhaps not so much.

I had been working like a crazy person, but all I sewed today was one rosebud block and I'm not terribly happy with it, so there. Tomorrow the order I placed from an embroidery store online is suppose to arrive. YIPPIE SKIPPY FOR ME! I ordered 100 needles, I'm so sick of them breaking and leaving me low on needles. Some other stuff too. Lilac thread, because one of the flowers I'm embroidering requires TWO purples and I only have one. More green, you would not believe how much green gets eaten up making embroidery plants. LOL, and some wash out stabilizer, so I can make beautiful ornaments for Christmas to make you drool.

Now here's a bit of philosophy, or some such. Isn't it strange how we all have a certain level of trust? A trust in our abilities to read people, a trust that were we are and what we do is "safe" both on and off the Internet. Sometimes that trust is deserved, and sometimes it's broken, but all the same we continue for the most part to be ourselves? And then once in a while... We meet a blast from the past, and because of our sense of self, of what we trust and what we don't, that we find ourselves completely unable to trust the person from our past? Perhaps it's a case of "you're not the person I knew". I'm not certain. When you figure it out, explain it to me, so we'll both know.

September 28, 2008

It's all in a bunch of work...

Wow I am so tired! Rob stayed up watching a movie last night, and knowing I couldn't sleep with that particular movie on, I just kept reading my new book. We didn't get to sleep until after 1AM, what a fool I am! I'm completely dragging the ground today.

But I have great news! The 2 sets of perinatal quilts are done! Remember those are going out to Bridging People and Places Charity, and I have worked on them since I began quilting! They range in size from 8" - 26" square.

The single one is my favorite of all of them, that being a bit funny as those Log Cabins has been an issue for me (getting them the correct size for the Block Challenge). I'm not going to give you closeups of the others, but you can see the first ones I made by clicking on the charity quilts below. Each one is different some are bound with satin. That was my first choice, but at $4+ per package, it didn't seem worth it. I can't imagine how much money it would have taken to bind them all. Some of them are bound using Eleanor Burn's scrappy style quilt binding. Now that I like! You take the scraps from your quilt and put them together to make the binding. Some color combinations this worked better with. For instance shades of yellow scraps looked better to me than the shades of blue and yellow scraps. I enjoyed this project, and am glad to send them on their way to their new homes. May others find comfort and peace in what I have created.

My heart is still heavy, but they say time heals all wounds. I'm not sure about that. (as Elvis plays "I'm so lonesome I could cry" in the background)

While I worked on the charity baby blankets, I had the new sewing machine embroider the flowers for the blue quilt I'm working on. I'd like to have 20 when I'm finished, but size of the fabric, ect. will surely come into play (gasp, I haven't bothered with the math yet, oh no!) LOL! I have completed 8, I feel that's good progress for two days.

I'm thinking about joining the local guild again. There are some problems over that, but I'm struggling, a huge part of my day is sewing, or thinking of quilts and of course taking care of Jessica. It really puts a stopper on what I can talk about if that's not interesting to the people around me. I wonder about that. How did I get so wrapped up and interested in doing, quilting, and creating? And what did I do before? I can't really remember...

June 05, 2008

Yes, more on me...

Hi There Everyone,

Today I wrapped up the sashing for the second heart quilt and started putting the first border on. This quilt will have at least two borders possibly three, I'm not sure yet.

I have three queries out there for having the quilting done on these quilts. The last lady I mentioned before did not pan out, as it has been nearly 2 weeks since I last heard from her. Clearly not someone I want doing my quilting. The three new people are one company who contracts out to Amish ladies to hand quilt them, one who uses a computer guided long arm machine, and last but my current favorite, is a lady who claims to pattern and create based on the quilt itself. Which of course would please me to no end.

The tides are funky tonight so DH wont be getting home until 1AM, pretty bad when you consider he will have to be up and headed back to work at 6AM. So that leaves me to take my box of cut squares of fabric off to bed and work out some pattern for the second border. Hmm, maybe I'll think of something to eat for dinner while I'm at it.

The moment I've been Waiting for, the Quilt Blocks...

Oh my blog! Let's see, the blocks for my Gift from Heaven Heart Quilt are all finished. Talk about a crazy peice of work! So many fabrics! It will take quite a bit of work to get all the bocks together in a way that looks nice. In addition to the blocks for the quilt I have two extra hearts and two extra stars which will be made into double sided pillows for my daughter. I have found a wonderful website that sells wide width fabrics which I am planning on using a gentle color on the back to soften the quilt. The extra fabric from that will be used to trim my pillows, so it should match nicely.

Today is shopping day with my mom, we're off to go look at the fish that she requested and then perhaps to the store to look at the sewing machine I think is out of my price range, but yet was disappointed when dh looked at the one in the store the other day and didn't bring it home for me (they didn't have any in stock).

I have had the horror of losing a $100 bill. Yep, dh and I were swapping money back and fourth, I wanted him to go get groceries for me, and he didn't want to. I thought he took the money, but he left it for me, and then a couple of hours later Jessica was playing with it. Shocked but super busy cleaning the bathroom I took it from her. When I went to were I'd put it last night it was missing one bill. Don't you wish you'd been following me around that day?!?! hehehe, dh replaced it for me, but in theory there is $100 floating around my house. Yes, I already checked dd's wallet.

I hate catalogs, I hate that they buy my address and send me these filled with stuff that is either ugly, to expensive, or both. I don't like calling to tell them to take me off the mailing list either, I wonder do they really print one less, or do they always have the print print say 100,000? I suppose if everyone calls to tell them not to send junk they might print a couple thousand less. Perhaps... My stepfather's (cringe) mother used to live in the mother-in-law apartment adjoining the house and I tell you want she would get four and five copies of the same catalog. When she moved out it took mom months to get the catalog companies to stop.

Jessica has been dry two naps and two overnights in a row. YIPPIE! She likes to pick out her own clothes these days and delights herself with "matching" outfits. Today she is sporting a yellow Strawberry Shortcake shirt with gently flowing capped sleeves, and yellow shorts with ruffles on them. Some kiddo hu?

Oh and here's one for you, last night I stuck my hand in the ceiling fan! Yes, seriously I did. It's a wooden fan, but sure enough it caused a bruise and even broke the skin on my ring finger. UGH!

I found a longarm company that will hopefully get the mail I sent - from my yahoo account. I of course can always sent it to Matthew's mom, but I don't know much about her, prices, machine type, ect. Did you know that come longarm machines are computerised and they long arm the programed pattern just like that? Versus some longarm machines, like the classic are run by a person and their creative ideas? Both are "man-ed" but interesting hu?

Yes, yes I know you want photos. DH bought me a new camera too. It was an open boxed deal from Wally World, but the USB cable it needs isn't standard and there was only a standard one (made by a different company) in the box. So I'm working on it. I really hope I can get a certain photo for for you.

I smell a rat and feel the sting of it's bite

I've been steadily casting my net wider and wider looking for a sewing machine that will be in my price range, bought at least somewhat locally, and have a few of the things I want. Earlier in the day I was focused on some of the brother machines, and found out that Brother is discontinuing their 270D Disney machine, I looked at the ones they are replacing it with, and the new ones seem to be a much better design. Granted they cost more. But I found a press release that said their starting prices and they didn't seem to bad.

So I called the dealer closest to me. Firstly he quoted me between hundreds more than the press release and at least that much more than an online dealer (note I said dealer, not ebay) selling the very same machine. So now I'm walking through the paces, "and what are you hours? Yes, what did you say your name was? Charlie, yes, yes, thank you..." Then I try to follow in with maybe I'll see you next week. Since about halfway through the conversation my daughter is screaming, only the man wont let me go! He say's I have lots of sewing machines here would I consider the 270D? No, I tell him it's being discontinued and is no longer going to be supported by Brother, and I for one feel that something crazy like those cassettes needs manufacture support. He wants to know where I got my information. But I wasn't born yesterday and simply differ that I read it in an article on the Internet. So he then interjects, "I have a floor model, I'm selling for "X" that's nearly $50 less than the one at Wally World, and he's telling me about support, classes, etc.

So at first I thought it was funny and spent an hour laughing to myself, about his grab for the sale, if only because, the news is out. Shheesh. But then it starts to bother me, and I can't help thinking what a rat like thing to have done. "I smell a rat". Trying to pawn off a demonstration model on me because I know the story and soon other's will too. Not to mention the 270D is considered a somewhat lesser machine than it's replacement the 350, and the 900D. So it works under my skin slowing making me crazy. So I call my mom.

Then she tells me that years ago, my dearly beloved grandmother went in there to have her machine serviced. Being a seamstress for decades she had an amazing machine with a name to match, but this very man that I'd spoken to, convinced my grandmother to trade her machine for a low end White. Talk about a rat. I thought I smelled one! Worse yet, he just took her for a run for her money, just like everyone else, treating her like she didn't have a clue, when once she did. It makes me want to bawl about it. I loved that wonderful woman, my heart cries to think of anyone hurting her.

B'Bye Sewing Machine

Last night when I popped in here to jot down a note to all of you I discovered the photo of Roarie was missing, needless to say I was rather unhappy about it, especially since it seemed to be the only one Blogger was missing. Rather than get upset I went off and did something else, and huzzah! this morning it's right back were it belongs, that goodness for this big community that we don't have to report ever single problem we discover.

So UPS has written us a check, or so rumor has it, and we should be seeing it sometime soon. In return I get to pack up my little machine and send it off. Not so thrilled about that as it had been behaving for the past week or so. Lucky for me VERY soon after I discovered its emanate departure, it jammed up and hasn't wanted to work since. Phooey, or it that a good thing? I suppose not that it's not working the only thing that is bothering me is that I use one foot in particular to get me scant 1/4 and I know different machines "scant" differently. In all seriousness I'd guess I wasn't that "good" with my first handful of hearts and the differences will have to be cut off anyhow. :) Someone should tell me that's a correct assumption about now, hehehe.

So I'm back to sewing machine shopping, oh how I hate this job. It's made even harder as I know what I like/love about this machine, and what I would love for it to have. Not to mention I really wanted an Elna, but I'm not happy with the $600 price tag the one with the features I want has. So there are three paths in front of me, firstly I can buy one of the Brother sewing machines from Wally World that has a good sized handful of the features I desire, secondly I can sit and watch ebay again, and of course pray that whatever machine works there is sold by a person willing to DOUBLE BOX, or three I throw caution to the wind and visit the store south of me where the mean lady sells Elna's and Pfaff's, hoping she has something I like and can afford, knowing full well that her Elna's start at that $600 I was telling you about, and if I didn't see something it's a 100 mile drive to the next store that does actually sell machines in my price range. Problematic, I know.

So let's see it is so humid today I can't stand it, I vacuumed this morning and had to turn the a\c on. Good for me it's nice and cool inside now. :) And that my dears would be the end of my note today. Take care everyone!
