I won: The Devils Puzzle

How about that for a blog post title?  Sure enough it's true.  Just the other day going through my regular favorite blogs and I discovered that Caren over on As the Thread Breaks was having a book giveaway.  But not just any book.  This is a brand new novel from the "A Someday Quilts Mystery Series".  Now I don't know about you but I like a good mystery novel every once in a while and I can't seem to resist a book with quilts thrown in so this should make for a wonderful read.  If you'd like I'll even review it here on my blog when I'm done.

As for other matters, would you believe DD lost her first tooth?  Yes, it happened right here in my sewing room.  I convinced her to allow me to tie dental floss to it and after a few minutes of her gently tugging she gave it one great pull (I have no idea why) and the tooth flew across the room!  I heard it tink against something, but alas I've cleaned the room twice looking and DH even came through looking and we can't find it.  The tooth fairy acknowledged DD's picture saying "I lost my tooth" complete with a hand drawn little girl with a big gap in her smile, by writing that it was okay and leaving the token of $1 anyway.  I know $1 whole dollar.  I guess that's the going rate.  I recall getting pocket change from the tooth fairy but she much be getting rich on those teeth.

Congratulations to you on winning that book. It really does look a great read.

Congratulations too to your daughter, I bet the tooth fairy loved the picture your DD drew.

I have never heard of this particular book series so please post a quick review when you are done. I hope it's an interesting read since I'm always looking for a good book.

Your DD looks so very cute in this picture even with a tooth missing. Nice that the tooth fairy accepts notes about the events around the missing tooth.

Yes, I would like to hear what you thought of the book. I'm always afraid the story will be lost in books like that. Congratulations to DD, that's pretty brave pulling it out like that.

You know, we've lost teeth here too after they were pulled and I've never thought to take a photo to show to the tooth fairy as proof!

I scrolled down to read a bit more and I wanted to tell you that your tropical waves quilt is beautiful. Congrats on getting it finished!

Congratulations to DD on her first tooth loss. She lost it in a bit different way though, but still it's OK. There are some children who swallow it. Tooth fairy still comes to give them gifts!

Wow, that’s a tough girl, pulled of her teeth.  But it’s ok. So, the tooth fairy is there yet? I’m sure she’ll get great rewords from the tooth fairy.

That’s a very unusual way for a tooth to fall! I loved & enjoyed reading this post. Also one more thing, I love your cats…
