Today I zoomed as close as I dared. Watching her so closely through the LCD screen was something else. While Lady Bird saw me no different than every other time, I could make out so much of her.
This year her feathers are in so much better condition than last year. As cardinals do not line their nests with their own feathers as some parrots do, her beautifully smooth feathers are a delight to see.
