First Fully Appliqued Dresden Block

After my rotary cutter went missing for a week, only to be found in the pocket where it belongs, I thought it best to get back to a bit of sewing.
This is the first finished Dresden Plate Block. Did you wonder about my ability to get here? Na, slow and steady wins the race. Please feel free to click on the photo to see the plate and my stitches more closely. Just keep in mind any comment about my hand work is libel to land you with the job.

This is the first of nine blocks that will be on this light Hoffman background. Then the final four will be appliqued on to a different background fabric.  I've already selected it but it's a bit of a surprise.

Hope everyone is sewing happily. Tomorrow is another installment of the Christmas Quilt-a-long and assuming I can get rid of this headache I'll be here will bells on.
